Keep On Fly’in !!!

“The race was on! They both left the starting line at incredible speeds and even though the jet powered big rig was really fast he wasn’t worried. He threw the throttles forward and as he looked behind him his F-104 Starfighter winked a ‘see you later’, and he could see the scowl on the crazy old trucks face as they crossed the finish line. Keep on Fly’in!!!”

The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter introduced to front line service in 1958 was a high performance supersonic interceptor and was the first combat aircraft to be able to sustain Mach 2 flight and even today its speed and climb performance remain impressive. The F-104 is an extremely radical design as it does not use a delta or swing wing platform but rather a very small, straight trapezoidal wing that was so thin and so sharp that they presented a hazard to ground crews, and protective guards had to be installed during ground operations. Over 2,500 F-104’s were built in many variants and used by many countries with and the last operational Starfighters were decommissioned in 2004 by the Italian Air Force.

Okinawa T’s is pleased to offer this high quality piece of wearable aviation art portraying a F-104 Starfighter embarrassing a jet truck in a race to the finish line. This is a fun design that will show to all that see it that planes rule and trucks drool.
